Grooming Made Simple

Figuring out hair trends is the easy part—it’s deciphering what works for you that can get tricky. That’s where AXE Hair Celebrity Groomer Amy Komorowski comes in. After styling the manes of Eddie Redmayne, Ryan Reynolds, and Adam Driver, the New York City-based pro knows exactly what haircuts are cool for this fall. And even better, whom they work for. These are the five haircuts to keep in mind this season, and how to make them work for you with products you can find in your local drugstore’s beauty aisle.  SEE ALSO: Best Haircuts For Guys With Thinning Hair

The Natural and Curly Look

As seen on: Odell Beckham Jr., Michael B. JordanFlattering for: Angular face shapes.Best for: Naturally curly or coarse, textured hair. Hair also must have some length to achieve this look. How to style it: “Find a great barber who understands fading and blending techniques,” Komorowski says. “Grow hair out to create length on top and have your barber keep the sides and back tight, fading to the length on top. Skip shampooing and use conditioner to keep the hair from getting too big or poofy. Add a bit of pomade, like AXE Clean Cut Look Classic Pomade ($6.99, axe.us), for some shine and separation.”

Add in some texturizing salt spray and scrunch the sides, both the front and top of the hair. Air dry for a bit, then blow dry on low speed or use a diffuser to create the wavy, messy texture.” Finish with bit of matte paste on the ends of the hair, such as Dove Men+Care Sculpting Paste ($5.99, Dove.com), to create separation and hold.SEE ALSO: 6 Products That Prevent Hair Loss
